THE RUNNING ROOM Hawaii was established in March 1976 at 819 Kapahulu Avenue in Honolulu, Hawaii. Created as a place where runners could hang out and talk running while finding the right equipment. The specialty running shop was modelled after a popular local surf shop. Kapahulu Avenue was chosen for it's location and proximity to the University of Hawaii and to Kapiolani Park, the center of running in Honolulu, both then and now.
The Hawaii Running Room is located at 819 Kapahulu Avenue in Honolulu and is a longtime favorite with both locals and visiting tourists alike to the Hawaiian State.
